It's now 2010 and Christmas is over. The New Year Celebration has come and gone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and 2010 is good to you. Here it is time for the TNNA Winter Trade show in Long Beach. I will be closed from Thursday, January 7th , through Tuesday, January 12th, while travelling and attending the show. At the show, I will be in Booths 1029 and 1031 so if you get to Long Beach, make sure you stop by. There are a couple of specials I will be running during the show. You can take advantage of them even if you can't come to Long Beach. First, Clover is introducing 5 new items: Double Ended Tunisian Crochet hooks in sizes G, H, I and J at a cost of $5.25 A Knitting Needle Gauge (shaped like a hat with holes for US 0 [2.00 mm] to US 19 [15.00 mm]) for $1.48 XSM Triangular shaped Stitch Markers at a cost of $2.63 Two sizes of Pom-Pom makers for Heart shaped Pom-Poms [small for $5.25 and large for $5.97} A "Quick" Yo-Yo Maker Oval-Shaped (Large) for $4.38 Through January 15th, I will be giving a 5% discount on all orders for the new items. Since I break boxes, you don't have to order in Clover package quantities to get this sale price. I anticipate that orders should ship by February 1st. Secondly, Nantucket Bags recently introduced two new colors in the 522 style bag: a barn yard red with brown trim and a line green with pink trim. Through January 15th I will be having a sale on the Nantucket bags that I have in stock at $25.00. Both sale prices apply to regular orders as well as those taken at the show. Just make sure that I either have the order through fax, phone or e-mail by the January 15th date. I have had some inquires about the Knitter's Blocks from Coco knits that I started carrying. At the present time I am out of both sizes, but the next shipment should be here after the TNNA Trade Show. There may be price increase with the new shipment. As soon as I find out I'll let your reps know. I have started carrying TransGraph X paper from LJ Originals. You are in for a treat. I personally used this graph sheet to create a graph from a hand painted picture to a cross stitch pattern for a customer in my wife's yarn shop. It is really easy to use and provided a great finished product. If you ever have customers who want to chart a picture for doing intarsia knitting or if you have cross stitch patterns your customers want created, this is a great item for your shop. Macatawa has several new patterns: 124 Christmas Sweater, with a wreath on the front with decorative trim 125 Halloween Sweater, with a pumpkin on the front and a ghost on the back 126 Puppy Love Dress, with Intarsia puppies at the bottom 127 Cherry Bits sleeveless dress 128 Three Seamless Skirts; a full skirt with button front, a skirt with fringe and a skirt with picot hem 376 Three Doll Hats; a peppermint twist hat, a candy stripe hat and a marshmallow hat Macatawa also has a Trunk Show with display stands that can be scheduled. You can arrange for the garments and display stands by giving me a call or sending the name of your shop along with possible dates. I will have a sign up sheet in California. Each shop can arrange for the show for a two week period. After TNNA, I will get back to you with the necessary forms to arrange for the show. Diane from Kalamazoo Knits will be at the booth for the show. Stop by to say hello. If you don't remember, Kalamazoo Knits has the Felted Flip Flop pattern for adults, kids and babies. She will have new patterns and models for the show. Theresa Gaffey has informed me the price of her patterns will be $2.50 effective January 1.
